Calls for Comments on CLP Available on ECHA’s Website

Calls for comments on the Consultation on Harmonised Classification and Labelling (CLP) are open on ECHA’s website.

👉First call:  New proposals to harmonise classification and labelling

Three proposals have been submitted for:

·   α,α'-propylenedinitrilodi-o-cresol (EC 202-374-2, CAS 94-91-7);

·   rape oil (EC 232-299-0, CAS 8002-13-9); and

·   methacrylic acid, monoester with propane-1,2-diol (EC 248-666-3, CAS 27813-02-1).

Anyone with relevant information on the identity or hazard properties of a substance is encouraged to provide this information to the dossier submitter during the early stages of the process, or at the latest during the consultation.

👉Second call: ECHA is looking for comments for:

·   ethanethiol; ethyl mercaptan (EC 200-837-3, CAS 75-08-1);

·   N,N'-methylenediacrylamide (EC 203-750-9, CAS 110-26-9); and

·   1,4-dichloro-2-nitrobenzene (EC 201-923-3, CAS 89-61-2).

📅 The final deadline for comments is set for 11 February 2022.

👉Lastly, ECHA announced to be looking for information concerning hexyl salicylate (EC 228-408-6, CAS 6259-76-3) to clarify the rate and relevance of hexyl salicylate hydrolysis for oral exposure. This information is needed to assess the relevance of toxicity data from structural analogues of this substance.
