On April 8, 2021, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released the final Human Health Toxicity Assessments for perfluorobutane sulfonic acid (PFBS), a member of a larger group of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
The toxicity assessment report regroups the potential health effects of chemicals in the PFAS family and identifies the dose levels at which those health effects may occur in order to calculate toxicity values.
These assessment are part of EPA’s efforts to increase the amount of information that is publicly available on PFAS chemicals.
