Update of the SCIP Database

ECHA announces the publication of new requirements for the SCIP Database regarding articles containing substance of very high concern.

Suppliers of articles containing SVHC from the Candidate List will need to provide information on their safe use to ECHA. The new database will contain information on substances of concern in articles, as such or in complex objects.

Suppliers of articles will need to provide:
• Information that allows the article to be identified;
• The name, concentration range and location of the SVHC in the article;
• Other information on the safe use of the article.

The deadline to submit the notifications is set to January 2021.
