REACH-IT: New Requirements for OR of Non-EU Manufacturers
In its latest News publication, ECHA reminds only representatives of non-EU manufacturers that, since April 26th, 2022, they have been required to identify the non-EU manufacturer they represent and their contact details in REACH-IT. Also, OR are required to have a separate REACH-IT account for each non-EU manufacturer they represent as well as the necessary registrations for each of them.
The contact details ORs will need to provide include:
– name, address, telephone number and email address;
– contact person;
– location of any production or formulation sites;
– company website; and
– national company identification numbers.
In light of these new requirements, if you are an only representative acting on behalf of a non-EU manufacturer, we strongly advise to update your REACH-IT accounts before October 14th, 2022.
⚠️ ECHA warns, after that date, the fee for transferring registrations in REACH-IT can no longer be waivered.
