Multi-Language SDS Generation
How many languages does Lisam support for international SDS generation?
Lisam SDS software currently supports 57 languages for safety data sheet generation. This enables companies to meet local language requirements efficiently in global markets.
Does Lisam provide regulatory-compliant phrase libraries for each language?
Yes, ExESS, our SDS authoring software, includes an integrated phrase library containing over 100,000 industry-specific phrases across supported languages. These phrases can be customized, and user-created phrases are clearly flagged as custom translations to maintain traceability.
Are Lisam’s SDS translations regulatory-compliant or machine-generated?
All translations in our SDS management system are handled by certified professional translators. Before publication, translations undergo a comprehensive quality verification process reviewed by both regulatory experts and native speakers of the target language, ensuring regulatory compliance and accuracy.
System Integration & Data Management
Can Lisam’s SDS software integrate with ERP, LIMS, or PLM systems?
Yes, Lisam SDS software integrates hundreds of content libraries and external databases for comprehensive substance data. This includes Annex VI classifications, REACH study results, as well as other authoritative and public chemical information sources for comprehensive substance data.
The software also includes paid third-party content such as the BIG substances database (https://www.big.be/en/home).
We’ve also built our own proprietary database: ALIGN (Active List of Ingredients for Global Normalization). A substance database that centralizes and standardizes chemical data from multiple reliable sources including ECHA CHEM, making it easily accessible within ExESS.
How does Lisam handle SDS version control and document management?
ExESS automatically tracks version control at multiple levels: product, region, and soon from document type. Every change – major or minor – is recorded with complete audit trails. Users can access change histories through advanced filtering to track modifications within specific timeframes, making it easy to see what changed, when, and who made the changes.
Can I track and audit all changes made to safety data sheets?
Yes. All SDS modifications are logged in our system with comprehensive change tracking. Users can access complete change histories at any time using advanced filtering capabilities to review modifications within specific date ranges or by user activity.
Does ExESS support related chemical safety documents?
Yes, our tool supports associated safety documents including GHS-compliant labels, safety instruction cards, exposure scenarios, and other regulatory documentation required for chemical compliance like the PCN dossier or Cosmetic’s PIF.
