EIGA/GCM – Update
New Release
EIGA Guideline 919 and 169 – Version 26
We are pleased to announce the release of the latest version of EIGA Guideline 919 and 169, version 26.
This update includes essential modifications across our EIGA/GCM module to ensure continued compliance with the latest standards on ExESS. We strongly recommend upgrading to this new version for continued compliance.
This upgrade requires the update of the CDP lists below:
- Official EIGA library, to update the EIGA phrases.
- EIGA/GCM Products, to update the predefined EIGA products
- EIGA Blocks, to update the EIGA blocks.
Important note: the minimum ExESS version required to download the lists is 24.2.3.

Amendments
- Updated nitrous oxide and vinyl fluoride data (names, index numbers) in line with CLP Annex VI.
- Revised classification and labelling for nitrous oxide, vinyl fluoride, and chloromethane (R40) in line with CLP Annex VI.
- Incorporated EU 2024/573 updates (new GWP data, annex inclusions, EIGA0787B phrase assignment).
- Updated M-factors for selected substances.
- Revised labelling/pictograms/P-statements for specific substances (incl. solid CO₂, methyl acetylene, mono-methylamine, trichlorosilane).
- Added reference to EN ISO 16321-1.
Correction
- The indication of changes in section 16 lists only the fields reported in the SDS EU EIGA
Please note that EIGA recommends the use of the summation method for the environmental hazards calculation of mixtures. For further details on the environmental hazards calculation, please refer to SIS 262. In addition, SIS 381, Gas Classification Modules (GCM-EIGA), has been updated to include all recommendations for options in ExESS.
Important note: Updating your mixtures classification and SDS content is crucial to comply with these changes.
