New Report on Volumes of Chemicals Subject to Authorization

ECHA has published a new report focusing on the substances of very high concern (SVHCs) for which companies applied for authorization during 2010-2021. ECHA’s analysis estimates that, in 2021, the combined volume of these substances placed on the EU market is 45% less than it was in 2010.

The report also shows a significant decrease of the production and import of five phthalates (BBP, DBP, DIBP, DEHP and diisopentyl phthalates) as well as trichloroethylene which have decreased by 91% since 2010.
